What I am reading

I love to read. From a very early age I seemed to always have a book I was reading. There was only one problem. I was caught up in the books that I wouldn’t want my daughter reading. Even the younger teen books were focused on the physical aspect of love.  I wish I would have known how the things we read can affect us for years. It’s been 15 years since I read a book that I would label as inappropriate today. I still love to read but find myself careful about what I am reading. I want the things that I read to help me to be closer to our Lord.

I hope that if you have good christian books that you think I would enjoy that you will share them with me. I love a good book.

I am currently reading the book “Unbound” by Neal Lozano. I read it once, and it is so good I am reading it a second time. Actually, there is so much good information in there I am taking it slower this time. I learned about this book from Greg and Jennifer Willits over at The Catholics Next Door. They have a great podcast about this book here and I should also mention, all of their podcast are wonderful. Neal Lozano, a teacher on deliverance gives a practical guide to deliverance and freedom. I struggle with the same sins over and over again and this author seems to understand and address this very problem.

Don't you forget about meI am also reading the book,” Don’t You Forget About Me” by Erin McCole Cupp and Ellen Gable. I listen to a radio station, realifelradio.com and one of the host there is reading this story.  Its about a grown woman who returns to her home town to attend a funeral. She does’t have fond memories of her home town but is curious when she receives a message from Eugene Marcasian, MD, her childhood question.

  1. Have you ever read any books by Lauraine Snelling or Mary Conealy? They are historical fiction love stories by Christian authors. I like them because they are clean books that are enjoyable to read.
